In 2010 we welcome the stunning SASHI from Ascend Tribal Belly Dance in the USA to our shores! Set to tour Australia and New Zealand in July/August for 2010. Sashi on Tour AU and NZ 2010

Sashi kicks of her Australian Tour in Melbourne this July 9th to 11th, workshops and concert info will be announced very soon. Prepare for an awesome market and concert event on the 9th, and a full day of Sashi Ascend Tribal format workshops on Saturday the 10th - with a special event to be announced on the 11th.

Advance workshop bookings will be available in March so watch this space.

PseudoSkirt V.3 2010 - The Pirate Project has launched.

Arrrrrrrrr me hearties, hoist the mainsail and make for the open seas...PseudoSkirt V.3 the Pitate Project launches Australia wide this year. And it seems WA is set to break ALL the record for numbers! So c'mon NSW, VIC and QLD, sigh up for an unforgettable experience and lets show them all what AU dark dancers, err, I mean PIRATES can do!

Registration is now open so spread the word! This year the theme is PIRATES, and thar be four seperate projects in VIC, NSW, WA and QLD!
Attend workshops at your states festival with Ma'isah in her Elysium gothic fusion format, learn a unique choreography using Elysium online or via DVD, connect with other dancers to rehearse and make costumes, then one massive FREE rehearsal with Maisah before taking to the stage showing the world what Australian dance communities can do!

Maisah at GOTHLA USA 2010!

The culmination of hard work and a dream, I am honoured to be invited as the International Guest Artist at Gothla USA in California 2010.
I will be presenting an Elysium Sword Choreography workshop and performing at this unique 4 day dark dance festival in March 2010, proud representing Australian Gothic Fusion belly dance in my American debut. More details as it all unfolds, and so many more wonderful plans as well for 2010, so stay tuned and if you plan to be at the USA Gothla in 2010...I'll see you there! Classes Term 1 2010 start Feb 1st

In 2010 Raqs Gothique offers SIX weekly classes in two locations, Dandenong on Mondays and Fitzroy on Tuesdays Limited places left in some classes:

Elysium Priestess - Elysium Technique and the VIC PseudoSkirt Project 'Pirates!'
Beginner level Belly Dance - Egyptian Evolved
Intermediate level Belly Dance - Dark Cabaret

Ten soloists/duets dancing to a track each from Hossam Ramzy's latest CD, Ruby. Supported by bellydance troupes dancing a variety of contemporary bellydance styles. Plus live Middle-Eastern drumming!
